Born a regular ol' sloth bear, The Closet Monster realized he was different from other bears at a young age when he grew horns, larger fangs, wings, and a forked tongue. Self-conscious of this, he ran away and hid inside a cave where he became one with the darkness, awakening a connection to all dark spaces. He particularly loved hiding in dark closets and found comfort there, watching the world's inhabitants from the murky corners. As he noticed more and more wrongdoings, he began to sustain himself on the flesh of those who enjoy being bad, for their tears taste the best, eventually gaining confidence in himself and his power as he fed.
